@daactualfact

You REALLY need to work on your ability to pick up obvious sarcasm. Fazz and sieanr's posts both scream sarcasm.

Fazz was poking fun at leo-j, and sieanr was specifically pointing out the Game Gear's existence.

umm i still think ps3. It will take a long time, maybe a couple years, but i think the ps3 will take first place. I mean come on? a gaming system, blu ray/dvd player, music player, world wide web, + more for $400!!!

once people forget about DVD's i bet people may but it as a Blu Ray player.
You can play music (In Photo Chanel) and surf the web with the Wii as well. Plus you get real life controls, tons of old games to buy, every single gamecube game works as opposed to NO PS2 game in the $400 PS3 you mentioned. Oh and my dvd player plays dvd's.

As much as I love my Wii, there's really no comparison between it and the ps3 in terms of functionality.  The ps3 wins by a landslide.

 The only functionality I care about on my console is playing games.  I have a PC for everything else.  Although watching youtube videos on my Wii is more fun than it has any right to be.  I've yet to see a single non-gaming function on any console that was make or break for me.  Nothing even tempting really.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said but I don't think you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

 Convergence has never caught on, and never will, most people don't care

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Lies. Nintendo has NEVER won a console war, everything started with the PSOne that Sony pulled out of their infinitely creative minds... well, that's what's leo-j told me.

 haha.  Why am I not surprised?

 Now to think of it... XMB vs. Channel menu. And the channels in general. No, i think you're way off with this one. Wii wins by a landslide.

Nintendo has also won every handheld generation ...

Amen.

 However, Sony is the only competitor to do even as well as it has with the PSP (currently being outsold by about 2.2:1 worldwide) in a market that has always been completely dominated by Nintendo.

There is no spinning it, PSP is a diaster in comparison to the rival that it was supposed to oust. And remember the UMD format? HAHAHAHAHA!

My consoles are for games, not for multimedia. So to me, as long as both company continue to produce consoles that support great games, I don't really care. And hopefully not jack up the price by more than double just because there's an 'extra player' in with it. I can do without blu-ray for a $250 PS3.

Currently loving my Wii x2, Xbox 360 Pro & Xbox 360 Arcade, and Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children Limited "Cloud Black" 160GB PS3
