Uncharted NGP won't likely be out til holiday 2012 at the earliest.

Uncharted 2 was amazing. The single player/multiplayer was fantastic.

I was very satisfied with the way LoK: Defiance concluded. I would love there to be more in the series, but what made the series incredible was the Kain and Raziel relationship. That's over now, all fittingly resolved. I would hate for someone to contrive a way to get things going again. The LoK games were a single story told over multiple games.

But I agree, as good as the Uncharted stories are, they fade to nothing compared to the intricacies of the LoK story.

Farming out Uncharted to Sony Bend on NGP means nothing to me as far as milking the UC franchise is concerned, because NGP means nothing to me. I did really like Syphon Filter, and I would be sorely tempted to buy a PS3 Syphon Filter game. But hasn't the franchise lost a lot of momentum, and how popular was it anyway? It crapped out badly in the transition to PS2 (according to VGC sales figures at least), so bringing it forward to PS3 risks a major flop possibly more than the potential for a highly successful resurrection of a franchise that was only successful opn PS1.

But I completely agree about Jak and Daxter. The hope of a Jak 4 was one of the reasons I bought a PS3. On balance I probably would still have gone PS3 over Wii or 360, and I'm very happy with my choice, but I would have considered those 2 consoles a lot more as possibilities if I'd known for sure that Jak 4 was not going to be made. I really think it's a cruel joke for ND to be dropping Jak and Daxter references into the Uncharted games while not actually making Jak 4 for real. I hope we don't have to frickin' well collect 120 frickin strange relics before we get a Jak power cell.
