Hadn't thought of it that way. Maybe they should make Duke Nukem for Kinect! That way it can respond to my verbal taunts as well!!!
Very interested to see how this turns out.
On rails doesn't necessarily mean completely scripted and all you do is aim and shoot. There are plenty of interesting things you can do with Kinect this is outside of the realm of a shooter like Area 51.
For example a lot of the gameplay could revolve around directing AI squadmates for a more strategy oriented experience.
So if a talented developer makes a game for Kinect, does that mean they are suddenly mediocre and are going to put out a crappy product? I'll never understand how or why a very vocal and zealous minority rips apart any and everything Kinect even when there are no hands-on impression yet??????
In other news, this was HILARIOUS yet sadly true ... http://twitter.com/#!/therealcliffyb/status/35158468109418496

That's exactly the game I was thinking of. Just because it's on-rails doesn't mean they couldn't have a cover system, and actually making you duck to get behind stuff would be cool.

Basically, yes. But what they could do with Kinect is actually let you move side-toside in a small area with a few objects to hide behind, and have you actually contort your body to get take cover.
LMAO, talk about fail, Kinect, the new shovelware king.
