Forums - Sales - Top 10 PSN Games of January

Sony just released the ranking with the best sellers PSN games of January.

Highlights

- Mass Effect 2 makes a surprising entry in the top ten, especially considering the PSN version of the game is more expensive than the disc-based version.

- Final Fantasy VII continues to sell well.

- Angry Birds takes the top spot.

For me ME2 was doing great in PSN because it was $10 more expensive than retail one.

Aren't both versions of Mass Effect 2 $59?

In the US the retail one was $40-50.

Ah, I see. Here in Canada, the retail version is listed at $59, which is the same price as the PSN version.

err, the US version is $59 at retail -- or at least supposed to be.  it's pretty easy to find a deal though.

At launch it had a $20 deal... I guess nobody paid $59 for retail version.

2. You can have your account on up to 5 systems at once. So someone could in theory buy Mass Effect 2 and let his friends play it on 5 consoles. I think it's 5...might be 4....

You have tested that? Because for some games in PSN this trick doesn't work... eg. Warhawk.

This should calm some souls that were restless on ME 2 nos.....

That's a lot of 5 account game sharing :)
