Oh Seece! haha.

In all honesty though, I would like to see some updated Move figures as well. We now know for a fact that Kinect as sold over 8 million plus units, and I'm curious to hear how many Move controllers Sony has sold as well. Let the numbers fight their own battle.

How dare you want gaming FIGURES on a gaming SALES site. You don't need them

I know right? It seems as though Sports Champions has stalled quite a bit since all of the hype was around it. Last time I checked that was the best selling Move title. 2 million plus is nothing to scoff at, but in the recent success of Kinect it's hard to not compare them.

I want to know the latest Dualshock 3 and 360 controller nos too......

After all we are on a gaming sales site.....

I hope Sony releases their DS 3 nos because if they don't then its probably selling bad.....

I think it is probably because it is a controller, no need to continually report numbers for it.

As long as the Move titles keep coming from SONY we can be pretty confident that the sales are just fine.

It's not a contest.

Haha, knew this thread would give you the hump, you instantly jump to "contest".

Whether you like it or not this site reports Kinect vs Move numbers, so deal with it. The majority of people want them here whether good or bad, that's why we're here, it's a sales site.

I'm sure Sony will support move no matter what numbers its doing, and I'm sure the likely hood is that move numbers ARE fine. So what? Doesn't mean I don't want to know just because the numbers are good :-S

I think you should check where you are.

Knew this thread would draw me in? Glad I am so important that I am always on your mind Seece.

Nah, I knew that as soon as I saw your username it'd be the way it was.

Then I remember that you had the nerve to say that I make threads with the intent to stir up users.

You wish, I don't follow your lead. I genuinely want/ed to know if they released move numbers, as I hadn't seen anything on shipments day.

How about realizing that I am making a reasonable point and arguing that?

What is your point? It was unnessacery and uneeded and predictable. I ask for numbers, you don't tell me why I don't need them because it's "not a contest"

Regardless of what you think Seece, I have no agenda, I only respond as I see it.

I have better things to do than get worked up about sales that affect me in no way what so ever. If they bear meaning on your life, more power to you.

My point was to give a reasonable answer as to why they still do not report any numbers.

If you insist on belittling me rather than accepting my opinion and possibly being mature and refuting it each and every time I post then I give up. I have no time for childish shit and assumptions about people's character and assumed agendas.

It is the same shit every single time with you. I don't understand you problem with me, but it is quite tiring. My fucking apologies for making (2) negative Kinect threads back in October 2010.

Good day and enjoy your thread.

In my opinion, anytime cursing needs to be involved in a thread is when a person cannot state a rational thought. Don't take things to heart.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

flaimbiat thread alert....

The Motion Controller's are different quite clearly. You need DS3 to play all the original games and others.  Move is new and a peripheral thus not the same as DS3 and 360 controllers. And considering Kinect numbers are being announced I don't see why Move numbers aren't

Well, considering that ioi stated only about 5 or 6 % come here for the sales numbers (though I personally think that's a pretty low estimate), is it really that hard to believe not everyone cares about those numbers?

I'll just leave you to your attack of Euphoria for no particular reason.

Sony must have lost a ton of cash on Move. They've been developing it as long/longer than Nintendo and the wiimote haven't they?

Not only are they good for developers, but important to consumers.

I don't want to buy a product, that I'm unsure of future wise. Of course Sony is going to say "It's doing fantastic, we have loads of games coming" what the heck else are they going to say? Every company would say that.

Then when they don't bring out numbers to match it, and said consumer finds out it's not doing too bright, and their investment isn't looking to good ..

Not saying that is the case for Move at all, but it's an example of why it's important we have these userbase figures.

You can never be sure of a products future and just because it sells a megaton doesn't mean it will get great support. See the Balance Board and WM for examples. Both sold great and have decent software libraries behind them but how many high profile games are anticipated for either?

Even the reverse is true PSP doesn't have great hardware or software sales but it has a consistent stream of quality titles (which is why I love the thing).

I'm not arguing with your other point, this is a sales sight and its expected to ask for figures. I don't expect we will get them, when was the last time Sony updated PS Eye figures. Did Nintendo update their peripheral shipments last quarter? I don't know.

In some ways you are both right, but I'll go along with your view. Take a step back to three years ago and the PS3 was getting the same negative sales remarks as move is now.

Don't forget many "bright" members on this site were predicting the end of Sony and the PS3.

Only time will tell and the tortoise may yet catch the hare.

Anyhow, I must agree with Squilian (which is indeed rare) that no news in this business is generally negative news, but you never know.

They'll probably announce them at GDC, ditto for Microsoft. If they don't then I suspect the reason is that they have nothing much good to report on that front. No news is often bad news, especially in the console business.

Sounds good to me. We know how Sony love to start their presentations with numbers. Even if it's at something that isn't really sales focused (like GDC).

That or they are waiting until e3 since some of their more prominant move titles (Killzone 3 and Move Heroes) are coming out over the next month or so. But that's a stretch considering it's so long away.

Well they want to push extra development support for 2012 and the end of 2011, what better place to send the message to their target audience (developers) and what better way to make an impact than with-holding numbers until that time so they can both come out with >10M units shipped?

Tease.

Any number Sony releases is gonna look pathetic next to Kinect. So might as well stay mum on it until they reach a milestone sort of number like 10 million. Which might be a while off yet.
