All jokes side, nothing will happen. They will come to a settlement arrangement that allows cross use of each companies patents. I'd be shocked if either company managed to get either's products banned.

This shit never goes through and even if LG did win $ony would have ways to work around the patent.  M$ was sued in 2010 for their M$ word program they lost the case but I don't M$ word going anywhere companies have other ways of working around these stupid patents. This just my Op.

Any word on what patents were violated (in both phones and bluerays?)

Its kind of funny that they are BOTH going after the others BR players and LG after TVs and Sony about phones.  This  wont amount to anything but a partnership on allowing a "sharing" of patents.

violating a patent and violating a copyright are about the same to me.  so sony, like the hackers, should be held responsible for their actions if they did indeed violate LG's patents. 

i know you're trying to be cute but you can't justify behaving badly by saying someone else is behaving badly too.
