Hey what does back-ordered mean? Please don't laugh.

Bet with OriGin: Within 1 year Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be ahead of Mario Kart Wii (when aligning the one whole year from each region). 2 week ban from Vgchartz for the loser. Edit: Darn! Looks like OriGin will win.

Went to target and bestbuy tonight, bestbuy got about 50 copies of Mario G on sunday with the Wii shipment, they had about 25 left. However target had none.... MP 8 was wiped out at target and a slew of DS games. The supply was scarce on many DS and Wii games(Don't know if sunday had something to do with it).

Best Buy had 1 copy of MoH:H2
I did not check for MP:DS... I kinda assumed there would be alot of them seeing that they are not selling like crazy or anything. Best Buy had 4 Wii Motes, 1 classic controller, 0 zappers... It was a ghost town in the BB section...

add me, the more the merrier.

Back ordered means that they have ordered tons of copies that are late on arrival. They've ordered more then their recieving. I believe thats what it means!

As for the whole Christmas thing of course I expect their to be shortages. But how is it that DDR:HottestParty has one copy in stores, and thats only two times I've seen it but DDR:Universe2 for 360 has over 100?

How can there be so many copies of GH:III for PS3/360 (In the mornings) with not a single copy for Wii?

As for Galaxy maybe its just more popular here, but it has been sold out of many stores. MarioParty:DS was almost impossible to find and the Wii sections in stores are shrinking or empty due to lack of software shipments!

And my comment about the lack of hardware sales. I was refering to Nintendo being behind on hardware shipments. With them being unable to meet their hardware demands you would think their would be more software. Less hardware units selling generally means less hardware is selling too! Usually software is readily availible during these hardware shortages!

Nintendo = Don't Know Their Own Power to Sell

The only recent time I think they over estimated demand was in Japan with SMG, they shipped 700,000 and it looks like that shipment will be sold off soon now anyways...

Ahhh, Super Mario Galaxy was outsold in the Netherlands for 2 weeks in a row... Nowhere to be seen cuzz all that came were reserved for pre-orders... (Yes, there were still pre-orders that hadn't received a copy)...

But now, coming with a huge Wii shipment for the holidays..., they've got like 50 copies (1 store) of SMG. And they only had like 23 left at around 1 'o clock.

I noticed over the last few weeks that hardware isn't the only thing Nintendo is really lacking. Software is almost non-existant I was looking for a few games and I couldn't find them anywhere. What games am I talking about?

GuitarHeroIII - Yes I know that GuitarHeroIII is insanly hard to find anyways. But I can find at least a couple copies on PS3 and from time to time some copies on X-Box 360 they come in piles of like 60 to FutureShop. But in all this time since GHIII release I have yet to see a single Wii copy. I asked my buddy who works at Future Shop and he said they get about 3-5 copies a week and they sell out within an hour or so of openning.

DDR:Hottest Party - Now I have actually seen copies of this game in some stores. I have seen it twice once in EBGames and once in FutureShop. However I have never seen more then a single copy in any of these stores. Yet DDR:Universe is everywhere infact their was a pyramid of them at FutureShop for the X-Box 360.

MarioParty:DS - We set out to get a copy of MarioParty DS and went to over 7 stores before we tracked down a single copy of MarioParty:DS. Every single store we looked at was sold out.

Now those are just the three games I was looking into buying. But I have noticed MarioGalaxy, Sonic&Mario:AtTheOlympics as well as various other Wii games are no where to be found. If you look in Walmart they had one glass case of Wii games but three glass cases of 360 games.

So whats with the shortage of software. I mean with so little hardware selling you would think Nintendo could keep the software in stock. I mean Nintendo's software isn't dominating the charts entirely how could they not have any software. Games like GHIII and DDR:HottestParty should be huge sellers yet their are no copies to be found anywhere.

Does anybody know if Nintendo still handles all of the third party software manufacturing like they used to? Or can third parties manufacture Wii games on there own now?

Dude, you sure you're all right?

THE NETHERLANDS

I was able to purchase almost every new release game in this thread. Sounds like last minute shopping to me!

BAM! There it is!

Wii Code 3456 7941 4060 2924
COD MW Reflex 541192229709

I have to agree with some of the "double you tee eff" comments... This is a boggling post on many levels and just seems a little 'conjured'.

Numbers: Checker Players > Halo Players

Checkers Age and replayability > Halo Age and replayability

Therefore, Checkers > Halo

So, Checkers is a better game than Halo.

here, you're lucky if you find a SMG copy
