Yes the selling in one day news was overblown out of proportion since from what i heard it was only a certain shop who runned out of copies day one.

 

VC3 4k above VC2 first week  :( not so good but definitly not bad too.

It is said that VC3 is out of stock and can't be found.

Azalyn strikes again, these were his estimates.

[WII] The Last Story (Nintendo) {2011.01.27} - 120.000
[PSP] Valkyria Chronicles 3 (Sega) {2011.01.27} - 110.000
[PSP] My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute Portable (Bandai Namco) {2011.01.27} - 70.000

He was most accurate about The Last Story and Valkyria (even if by a 10k margin.) Underestimated the horror of My Little Sister by a bit though!

This is the guy who claimed the first shipment for The Last Story was 120k, so it's pretty much sold out first week.

I think it's pretty safe to say that eventhough the PSP sells the least worldwide, just Japan alone makes it a successful handheld.  My PSP 2000 has really grown on me.

Ok. PS3 ahead of Wii on The Last Story launch week. Just imagine if that  game was developed for PS3. But Hironobu Sakaguchi probably don't have good relations with Sony, since Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within "fiasco".

You'll have to keep imagining.

Sony wouldn't support Mistwalker so they turned to Microsoft and then Nintendo. And I doubt they care very much about Nintendo's hardware sales when the software they released this week managed to sell its first shipment.

I hope this leads to a The Last Story II down the line.
