I would contend anyone who loves football would love to watch this game. Two storied teams with great defenses and great balanced offenses should make for a classic. Regardless of what you feel about the teams playing, great football is great football.
Meh, haters gonna hate ;)
A friend of mine invited me to Superbowl night so I'm actually going to see my very first one (not that I have any particular interest in American Football but it could be fun)! I still have to lol at calling it "Football" though, after all these years!

Yeah, there's not much foot involved, but it's ingrained in the American language and culture. I don't see it ever changing.
Hope you have fun watching the game. I can see how someone unfamiliar with the sport could be not interested.
Pack all the way, ruin Rapelisberger and the Steelers!!! lol as a Seahawks fan, I still don't like the Steelers because of the undeserved Super Bowl 40 win
Human contact, the final frontier.

I'm from Seattle, so I understand the sentiment. However, it is the refs that Seattle should be angry with. I just hope this grudge doesn't last as long as Pay-rod(although he deserves every bit of it!!).
Oh my, I'm so exicted for this. They're gonna broadcast a special episode of Glee!!! Too bad people have to suffer through that silly sport you Americans call "football" before they get to the good part.

EWWWW!!
I am soo tired of hearing about that show...and it's been exported? Damn it!
For American football I submit this; the amount of acting and 'flopping' comparative to soccer or basketball is minimal. I hate seeing a bball player or soccer player acting to get a foul they do not deserve. Ohh and NO TIES. That is all.
You really have to experience the culture and the game to understand its appeal(I'm sure it is the same with soccer). Some of the guys may not be in the greatest of shape, but they understand the complexity of the game amidst adrenaline running for 4 hours.

The thing is about those 350 lbs. monsters on the line is that they could still outrun damned near anyone on this forum.
People underestimate how athletic those big guys are just because they have an extra 100 lbs. wrapped around their belly. That "fat" is intentional and helps them play on the line.

I'd agree completely that the trench monsters are great athletes. In comparing Soccer and American football one of the glaring differences are these guys who aren't built for cardio. Granted you have to have endurance to play ~60 plays a game, but it is not the same. Even some of the quarterbacks, compared to soccer players are inferior athletes. However quarterbacks I'd venture to say face many many more complex schemes on the field.
