It uses the camera to give the 3D effect I guess

yeah plus the gyroscope and sixaxis and accelerometres(same as PS MOVE)

Were you people not expecting this 3D depth simulation by a combination of internal motion sensors ? Whats your surprise on all this? -_-

IPhone4 has it since ages, 3DS was announced supporting such thing, why wouldn't the NGP?

iphone 4 doesn't have such tracking,NGP uses its front and rear cameras as eyes to provide such precise response,thats why the front and rear camera are at the exact same position

3DS has this but that was already known

this is kind of 3D which people don't know about thats why i created the thread

there are 2 types of 3D

one is the popping out effect and the other is the depth of the screen effect

3DS has both

NGP has depth effect which makes you think the screen is like a window,see the video

I'm sorry I could be wrong, but I recall watching an Iphone FPS were you could walk and move around holding the device.

you can do that with accelerometre and gyroscope and the field of movement is limited.
