The launch titles for the NGP are going to be insane... Don't be surprised to see Twisted Metal, and even Mortal Kombat 9...

MK9 would be awesome.

Oh I hope they have MK9 as a launch title for the NGP. I think it's possible.

Yes you are, they are saying that Gears is only on 360 but you are arguing that MS has control over where Gears goes, which is what you have been posting all over the place and that part is not true. It's just a business decision.

"Business" decision that involves consulting MS, a partner that owns parts of the rights to the franchise on where the franchise can and cannot go.

OK, first of all, that's just an opinion regardless of which side you choose.  They are both probably great games.  I say probably because I have only played Uncharted 1&2.  And second, MS owns nothing of the Gears IP.  Just because they pay Epic to keep it a 360 exclusive, at least for the first 3, doesn't mean they own any of it.  Epic just loves seeing that green MS keeps giving them.  And finally, if you're going to continue to derail the thread, please leave.  Create your own thread dealing with this issue.

He's right.  It is the perfect platform.  I think Sony has a winner with this one.  Honestly, I wasn't too excited about the PSP2 until they fully revealed it.  Now I'm psyched.  I've even seen some Nintendo supporters on here saying they are planning to buy it if it doesn't cost too much.  And with the control scheme we will see many well handling FPS/TPS, as well as adventure games that can use the 2nd analog for camera control.  With the front and rear touchscreen, we're going to see a lot of games that appeal to the casual crowd, as well.

I think you are reading too much into it..but I don't want to start another few pages long debate on it so let's leave it at that

@THismeintiel: exactly! and with the new control schemes introduced we might see some interesting gameplay mechanics. I really wanna see a survivial Horror game on this :D would be awesome (Dead Space Portable anyone?)

Microsoft owns distribution rights of Gears 1 and 2. They don't own the Gears franchise. If MS publishes Gears 3 then they will own distribution rights to Gears 3 as well. Any gears game MS publishes will not come to the NGP or any place MS doesn't want it to. But if Epic decides to go with a different publisher for future Gear games then those games can go anywhere they want it to go, including the NGP.

Dead Space is so going to happen, TPS will work great with the NGP, plus the new input methods may grant new gameplay additions. That puzzle thing on Dead Space Extraction (dunno if it's there on Dead Space 1 and 2) would be very welcome using the touch screen or even the motion controls on the NGP. Visceral already talked a little about Dead Space on NGP, pretty sure they are doing something with it already.

TPS is one of my favorite type of game, so I hope to see a lot of this type on the NGP and Dead Space would be one awesome addition (co-op this time, please lol).
