My god that has to be horrible ... poor terorists ... but than you can say the same about their victims to ...

A lot of these people are only suspected terrorists and have not had a trial and, in a lot of cases, not charged with a crime.

On the one hand I have no huge compassion with these idiots and I don't think that this will scar them for life.

On the other hand torture of any form and the tendency to hold people captive without due process is something that should be abhorred by every democracy. Imagine someone being really innocent. It is especially ironic for America that had a whole Vietnam trauma about captured American soldiers being hold by Vietnamese.

Its even worse that the bush administration thinks that it can nullify outrage by telling people that waterboarding isn't tortue by not calling it torture.

It's not simulated.

I always thought this goes by the following logic:

You dont torture cause you pray to god the other side does not torture your guys.

 That's one reason.

Then there's the reason that it produces bad intelligence.

Then there's the reason that it's flat out immoral.

by throwing all their self-proclaimed morals over board the USA is going to lose even every last bit of credibility and sympathy in the world ..

in my opinion it's pretty dangerous ,that paranoia is the real president of the country with the largest arsenal of any kind of weaponry on this planet

We condemned it and called it torture when the Japanese did it during World War 2, but now certain fanatics call it "a CIA sponsored swim lesson". Lafiel is right, we do nothing to help our cause by doing this, and it looks even worse when the tape of us doing it is clearly available and the Connecticut cowboy still says we don't torture.

Exactly.... they are actually drowning the guy.

Im ashamed to be British when I see that my country stands by and lets this bullshit happen. I heard some smug, suit wearing american lawyer trying to justify this torture by saying that "it gets results, so maybe the ends justify the means" and I wanted to get Mortal Kombat 2 on his ass. But Shang Tsungs death move would be too good for that guy.

I shouldnt joke, its horrific and the rest of the world should gang up on the USA and her allies that are basically condoning this vile, dispicable shit. The only difference between our baddies and their baddies is the language spoken and the gods believed in.

It's not torture. It's enhanced interrogation.

^ you're being sarcastic there , right ?
