the price for 3G sku really depends on the 3G provider. They can offer $100-200 discount with 3/5-year contract of a data plan. It will substentially reduce the price for the 3G sku.

Actually, there may be a chance that the 3G sku costs less initially than the wifi only skus. The only thing, I think,  Sony needs to convince people to buy the 3G sku is to enable Skype on NGP...

"Affordable" means different things to different people, and it heavily depends on what you're looking at ...

If Sony is delusional, they could justify the PSP2 being $400 by pointing out you would need to spend $500 on an iPod Touch and 3DS to match the functionality of the PSP2; and therefore the PSP2 is a bargain.

I think Sony is putting itself in direct competition with the iTouch and the iPad.

Stupid question.... If I have AT&T service... and an Iphone unlimited data plan.... how much would it cost additional to add the PSP2 to actually use the 3G feature?

Execs are not dodgy on prices when they are REALLY affordable.  It'll be between the price of a 3DS and 3G iPad.  I say $399.

hopefully they learned their lesson from that GO crap. If they are serious about handheld gaming they really need to make it 250-300 to give 3DS a run for its money anything higher and forget it, no matter what it does, dont care if it writes you an essay and sings it to you

That's a nice prediction. However, I'd say the 8GB model will be $299 and the 16GB model will be $349. I agree with you on the 32GB model price.

Many of you have too low of expectations.

$400 and $500 is my guess.... and that will be at a small loss for the first 6months.
