There's a new trailer for it.
Its officially announced so another exclusive for the 2011 confirmed.
Yeah, trailer is kinda dumb, but zipper's brilliant.
April 19th, two months from killzone 3, so they have a lot of time for the beta testing.
I cannot see this game selling well. Confrontation's bad taste is still in my mouth.
Well classic mode pretty much sealed this as a purchase for me.
No respawns, no health regen, no cover, and push to talk (hope that doesn't mean normal is open mic). Now if they just throw in Desert Glory, Foxhunt, Abandoned (day), Fish Hook...hell, just put in all the socom 1 and 2 maps and you can have all my money zipper.
Airstrikes and noobtubes, just looks like a third-person call of duty with a little bit of teamwork thrown in. Cool Socom is now dead

To be fair, the old SOCOM games had grenade launchers. The community was just pretty good at regulating itself and didn't use them.
EDIT: Matchmaking only and two primary weapons instead of a handgun kind of brought my hype back down.

Well i guess we just gotta wait for that beta to find out if this is the true socom successor that we've been waiting for.

Will it have 4 player co-op? Not played SOCOM before and kind of interested having enjoyed Zipper’s MAG but I’m looking for a co-op experience to play through with friends.
