I hear that people are blaming the fact that Dead Space: Extraction is a light gun game being the problem. There might be some truth to this but it is only half of the story. Yes, it is true that many Wii owners felt let down that DS:E was a light gun game and not a third person shooter, but not alll of us felt that way. Some of us are fans of light gun shooters and were actually looking forward to this kind of game. I was one of them. I am a junkie for the HoTD games, Ghost Squad, and R E: Umbrella Chronicles on the Wii and thought that this was going to be impressive going by the hype and reviews. The problem with this game is that it is a bad game for what it is. A light gun shooter is suppposed to be about shooting quickly and reloading. This game is about walking and talking through a corridor for 5 minutes, then I get excited because I get to shoot Necromorphs for 2 minutes and then it's wash, rinse and repeat. Let me shoot some aliens for crying out loud!!! That's what this type of game is supposed to be and not a little action sandwiched in between long and boring sessions of dialogue.

Exactly. DS:E was a poor light gun game by the standards of the vast majority of people. How can I make such a statement? Low sales compared to other games in the genre on the Wii.
oniyde if you like the game then great. I suggest you play it. But you asked why everyone else had a problem with the game. We are just answering you. If that doesn't fit into your world view then I don't know what to tell you, that sort of thing is going to happen to you a lot in life so you may as well get used to it.
Don't worry if no-one else likes a game that you do. There are plenty of games I have loved over the years that got bad reviews or most people thought were crap. I don't let it bother me. I just play them.
