@CDiablo  I love light gun games can you tell me what these dozen are??? cause I can only think of the 2 HODs, 2 REs and the DS one. Thats only five, its not that much, there are far more exercise games on Wii than light gun, do we really need that much??? I never hear anyone complain about those, what about those Wii 3rd party games that arent bug filled messes, how do you explain why those games fail????

Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles

Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles

Dead Space Extraction

House of the Dead2&3

House of the Dead Overkill

Ghost Squad

Disaster Day of Crisis(combat)

Sin and Punishment 2

Medal of Honot Heroes 2

Nerf N Strike

@melbye  disaster is not a light gun game, Medal of Honor was a FPS, got S&P 2 but I wouldnt classify that in the same vein as HOD. but still 7-8 games is ot that much

@Mr T Tar  to be fair the guy never promised that it would have the same gameplay, all he said is that it will mantain the creepiness of it. And from what ive played thats exactly what they did.

@auxmblade I think some are mad that the PSN version exists at such a cheap price, some feel that it "devalues" the game or some crap, I guess some Wii owners feel like they got the shaft.  The game is still more expensive on Wii

The hate for Dead Space Extraction was way before Dead Space 2 was even announced.

I guess some people just genuinely didn't like the experience like MaxwellGT but a lot of people wouldn't even give the game a chance. x.o

There's probably a reason people didn't give the game a chance.

Before release, there was a big promise with the game, and it wasn't fullfilled with a simple reduced On-rails shooter.

A week after launch EA practically insulted the whole Wii userbase, because they didn't buy the game, not to mention the genre was hitting saturation on the sistem, and it was clear people were expecting for the well-known franchise (RE).

And the game didn't get low sales, plenty of users gave the game a chance, 360k isn't bad for such a case of game.

How is Sin and Punishment not an on-rails game? Disasters has on-rails combat which is a huge part of the game, i know cause i have played it. And i forgot to mention Ghost Recon that was released in November

^^^^ no one has yet to shown me where EA ever said they were making a proper DS for Wii, all they said was where going to keep the creepiness of DS, and thats exactly what they did.  Im not going to get into conspiracy theories about "evil" EA because at the end of the day even if their was some truth to those?? So what??? If they dont wanna support a system, they dont have to. If thats your system of choice then that sucks, but it is what it is. Lotta systems got ignored by companies in the past, nothing new

No, they didn't keep the creepiness of Dead Space in Extraction. There's a huge difference between the freedom to decide the speed of your progress or going through the game at a predetermined speed. Saying that Extraction is just like the original Dead Space is like saying that Resident Evil 4 is very similar in feel to the Chronicles lightgun shooters. It's not.

What I find hilarious and sad at the same time is on the back of the Dead Space 2 box it lists being able to turn in 360 degrees as a feature of the game, like they wanted to let fans know this wasn't a crappy lightgun game, and it sorta cements the idea they knew that game wasn't meant for the Dead Space fans.

He listed combat in Disaster, which was on rails, cause the character walked on his own and you had to pop out of cover shoot the baddies, then your character would move forward like Time Crisis, Medal of Honor Heroes 2 like he listed has a lightgun game mode, you know it's telling when a team just has a lightgun game mode as an extra rather than the main mode, and S&P2 is in the same category as StarFox but it's still on rails and shooting.

@morenoingrato  I say again, there was NO big promise from EA, somebody give me a link where they did make a promise. If they did then that would be a reason to be pissed. Yeah, EA was out of line ill give you that. 360k after all this time is not really great sales. not when other games in the same genre are doing better

@maxwellgt  ok S&P2 ill give you that, but glad that someone acknowledge it being more akin to Star Fox. I was talking more of a arcade style HOD like games.Disaster ill take your word for it. as for MOHH2 ill be honest I had that game for PSP where it was a straight up FPS I didnt even know that the WIi version had that mode. Not going get that game for a tacked on Light gun mode. might check out ghost squad

Oh and I find this pretty bad, was watching the videos of the iOS Dead Space and when they actually got into the game, when the first monster popped up and attacked the main character I actually jumped, it was a cheap scare but it was something Dead Space Extraction failed to do a hundred times over.

Personally I'm not a huge fan of the Dead Space series, it's a series based on cheap scares rather than being really scary, hell Resident Evil on the DS scared the crap out of me, I suck at survival horror games, but I love the scares.  Sadly I feel most modern horror games are more like modern horror films, cheap scares, more about making you creped out, while horror games of yore were more about setting the mood to make you freak out when the lightning strikes and a zombie dog suddenly pops out of a window and attacks you.
