Q3 2012 sounds plausible. It has to have a decent userbase before launching I guess. So 9 months in the market for NGP would sound good (if it launches this Holidays) |
What's this Monster Hunter Diary game you guys are talking about? MHTriG will be released this summer and it'll be a PS3/Wii release. MHP3G will release in 2012 and it'll be a 3DS release.

Was announced today in Famitsu. I doubt MH3G will ever be released.

Bets with Conegamer:
Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Why? 3 sold a mil in JP, 3G will sell 1.5-2 million easily. Easy money, Capcom likes easy money.

I don't think that's happening. Capcom just doesn't develop Wii games anymore since 2010. And I don't think they are making a PS3 game either.
Capcom could have ported countless games to Wii but that never happened. They got released on Iphone, 3DS. But not on Wii. They are not coming back, and they better off start making MH NGP pretty soon if they want it close to launch.

Well, looks like Wii has just received its only May release (26th of May). Pandora's Tower. That game won't make a difference, looks too small, in between Zangeki and Sin & Punishment in regards to sales I'd say. |
Well to be fair since i sneakily updated April into second post yesterday :) PS3 is also looking bad in April - only big thing is Yakuza and that's mostly because it was delayed.

There's Pro Baseball Spirits 2011 which will sell more than 100k for sure. Then there's like 8 more games, albeit small.

How about Golden Week 2011? Will Nintendo base its Wii marketing for it exclusively on bundles, special offers and editions of classics, evergreens, best sellers and other titles released before April?
Although, thinking about it, most probably Sony too will do it for the largest part of its marketing effort, it's a nice opportunity to boost some of its biggest titles that sold very well elsewhere, but less than expected in Japan.
The result is a foregone conclusion at this point now that we know DQX isn't making it out this year. It's just a question of how much will PS3 win by.
