I don't get why people belive Vitality sensor will be huge thing ? If it were so amazing why was Nintendo dead quiet about it on last E3 ?

And hell can you even guys think about a single game that could be made for it that would be fun to play ? Wii, Wii fit, Move, kinect all have fairly obvious usage and show instantly what kinds of games could be developed for it but what can be made for vitality sensor ?

It seems like everyone is just saying it will be huge bacause Nintendo is making it. Guess what Wii music was Nintendo game too.

I belive they burried this project deep below ground and will try to pretend it never existed.

They have two big things for this year that can boost sales - Zelda and DQX (if it releases in 2011 which would be against square policy of spacing major titles and they already have XIII-2 for consoles and Type-o for portables)

A game for Vitality Sensor?? Trauma Center Ego - Operate yourself Edition..

If your signals become erratic you kill yourself.. day one for.... nevermind.

With the new Final Fantasy coming for the holidays for PS3 in Japan you'll probably see Nintendo try to counter with something substantial as we saw in 2009. Ideally, that game would be Dragon Quest X but I don't think Square-Enix will do that, although it would be an enormous quarter for them domestically if they could pull it off somehow. It'd be amusing if it was NSMB Wii 2 against the second real FF for PS3.

Supposedly Wii still has Inazuma Eleven, Zelda, Dragon Quest X, a Hal-Kirby game, Rhythm Heaven, Pikmin 3, Earth Seeker in addition to the games mentioned above. If DQX isn't 2011 then you have to figure Rhythm Heaven / Zelda are the holiday games with the rest as filler. Last Story in Jan / Earth Seeker for April / Inazuma Eleven for Golden Week / Kirby for Obon with various other small games or a price cut as filler. I really wouldn't rule out a big core sequel though - NSMB Wii / DKC Returns 2 - popping up out of nowhere to fill in a slow period. A new Mario Party or Wii Party or Wii Relax could do well.

Actually, the Michael Jackson game from Ubisoft is supposedly coming to Japan - that could be a good filler game. With the success of Epic Mickey, Disney might be pushing for the next Kingdom Hearts console game to be on Wii as well. Epic Mickey is going to do 2-3m at least on Wii - thats enough to justify it I think.

As PSP / DS collapse from PSP2 / 3DS I think a fair amount of PSP / 3DS could be ported to Wii as well, and there is the possibility of PSP2 and PS3 giving each other ports too. All in all, I figure Wii and PS3 will both be right around 1.5m with Wii slightly ahead again on price cuts.

There's no Kirby Wii game, I don't know how many times I told you about that...

And you are way too optimist about Wii's scenario. Everything you said has to happen in order for the Wii to even maitain the sales of last year. Michael Jackson, really? PSP and 3DS games? You know it's not happening. Plus the KH Wii comment must be a joke right?
DQX is not happening until late 2012 I'd say. Pikmin 3 and VS are still vaporware. Earth Seeker will bw lucky to sell 100k. Inazuma Eleven isn't an RPG anymore, I doubt it will be a big hit.

Please have a look at Wii's line up for the yeaer and compare it to PS3's line up. I don't think I need to say anything else. Just look at the Q1 schedule and tell me why Wii isn't going sub 10k soon.

Indeed, it reads like something I'd expect from this guy

You haven't updated the thread last week. Either ways, MC numbers are out already, PS3 wins another week.

Updated now :)

And next week MC:

PSP 106,893
PS3 26,766
Wii 15,028
DSi LL 12,069
DSi 10,039
Xbox 360 2,118
PS2 1,665
DS Lite 1,003
PSP go 107

Honestly I don't even see anything that could give the weekly win to Nintendo in incoming months.

PS3 is going strong! A price cut at the end of the year could make it even worse for the wii

Unlike last holiday season, this year PS3 will have a really big game Final Fantasy XIII-2 (Gran Turismo is no longer a big title in Japan). PS3 only lost by less than 100k units.

In fairness, Wii also didn't have a big game for 2010, and it still has the possibility of getting DQX this holiday...

With each passing day I'm becoming more and more pessimistic about this title. On one hand we know Square Enix hates Wii on the other hand it is a Yuji Horii game so he has the last word. If Dragon Quest X doesn't make it this year it will be a huge mistake because by 2012 Wii will be completely dead and they will lose at least a potential million copies because I don't see Dragon Quest X selling more than 2 or 2.5 millions units after next Christmas.

I have to agree... if DQX doesn't make 2011, I don't think it'll be a Wii game any more.  It's got to be holiday 2011 at the absolute latest.  If it does happen though, I could see a mini-NSMB style Wii revival, which would be a nice send off for the system.

Also worrying, insiders at GAF were told there'd be a Dec 2010 reveal, and that came and went with no word at all.  I think 3DS is actually looking more and more likely by the day.

Actually have they ever shown any trailer or screenshots  of DQ X ? That's extremly strange behaviour for a game that could arrive in 2011. I consider this silence a sign that it is developed for yet not annouced console (read Wii2). If they were aiming at 3ds they would say so already

Well when did they show the first footage/screens of DQ IX and how long did it take before it released after  those screens/footage..?

I can understand their are some Wii owners who want to play DQ X on their Wii but I still believe it would be better to get released on the 3DS..

Except for selling some Wii's I don't really believe it will do much else;..Back in time when DQ X was announced for the Wii some part of the Nintendo Fanboys believed this was the reason the PS3 will die and the Wii would get all the Japanese devs support...  I don't really believe DQ X with an 2011 release would attract so many devs...

An early 2012 DQ X release for the 3DS would be more effective especially for attracting devs away from the NGP/PSP2..

Hey, one advice, you'll have to be on the lookout for adjustments done to previous weeks. There's already a couple of weeks that need to be adjusted. Nothing major, but these happen quite often.
