Forums - General - Were you ever in a physical fight? What happened?

My German Shepherd puppy got involved and ripped the shit out of his jeans, no flesh damage so it was all good.

Yes.

I used to get in a lot of fights when I was in primary school. This one time,my classmates and I were playing football and then some kid who I didn't like took the ball or something. I don't even actually know what he did but all I remember is just snapping and going crazy . I think I kicked him in the head and I remember sitting on top of him and punching him again and again in the face. The kid went to hospital and I got in a lot of trouble but I still don't know why I did it. I got off lightly because my uncle had died fairly recently but I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. Anyway that was when I was about 7 or 8 and after that I have been too scared to hit anybody because I still remember the fear of the headteacher. A few years later when I was 13 and had recently moved to Finland some kid and I started shouting and swearing at each other. Now this kid was a good twenty centimetres taller than me,had clearly gone or was going through puberty and looked like a sumo wrestler. I was sitting down and then he punched me twice in the face,I didn't feel anything but that's probably because i was quite fat then so it cushioned the blows. This time I was too scared to do anything back, I just shouted something at him but I didn't hit him at all. Now I am 16,weigh 55 kilos (121 pounds) and am 173-5 centimetres so not exactly the hulk :D

I was one of the youngest among the group of kids in my neighborhood. 4 of the kids were particurlarly bad. 2 twins, 1 year older than me, a guy that was 4 years older, and a guy who was 8 years older. I was usually outnumbered 2 to 1 (either the twins, or the other 2 guys) since they liked to pick on me because I didn't back down like the other kids. I never won any of those fights (the 2v1s), but once I was 10 or so, I stopped losing too.

I could actually take on the twins and the guy who was 4 years older 1v1 when I was maybe 7 or 8? But the other guy, I mean come on, it's pathetic to seriously fight someone 8 years younger than you, but he'd also sic his dog on me (I was scared of dogs for years because of this). The other 3 were too scared to fight me alone though. Very rarely did I get into a fight with just 1 of them, it usually happened because as we got older, some of the other kids finally grew a pair and would at least distract 1 of them while I fought the other.

I didn't get into a serious fight until I was 13 though, and it was with my best friend. He was stronger than me, and we'd gotten into play-fights before, but nothing serious. One day, it was serious, I can't remember why, but it got bad fast. It ended with me knocking him out and him going to the hospital for a concussion. I walked away with barely a scratch or bruise. After that, no one in the neighborhood fought with me ever again. And anyone that heard about that fight also didn't try to take me on.

I only got into one more fight after that, and I was 14 or 15, and a freshman in high school. I was in 'advanced math' (if you don't know, I got to skip a year's worth of math classes because my test scores were very good), and there was a senior football player who was in my Geometry class. This guy was HUGE, at least compared to me back then when I was maybe 5'3'' and barely 120lbs if even. He was over 6' and probably about 230-250 lbs. Huge guy. Again, don't remember why, but we got into a little scuffle in the hallway after a class, and I was actually winning-ish. It was more a shoving match, and I kept pushing him off balance (maybe my height actually helped me displace the center of his weight better). We didn't really get to finish since I pushed him into a locker that subsequently slammed shut on this girl's finger (this girl who I knew well, was in my class and band with me).

I haven't been in a serious fight since, but I have sparred a few times with people who practice martial arts. I haven't for a few years though, so if I did now, I have no idea what would happen.

I was in tons of fights growing up (Elementary - Middle School)

In Kindergarten I was always picked on. I formed a kind of gang of other kids who were also bullied. It was called Baby Land. We'd see someone stealing someones lunch or bugging a kid. We'd surround him and take the shit out of him. The gang lasted until grade 3. I was the leader initially but lost that position in a fight, the leader had to take the shit out of the last leader, so I got pummeled.

I stopped fighting for a few years and was bullied until grade 6. I was almost 6 foot very tall for grade 6. A small kid came up to me and insulted me, he pushed me. I picked the kid up and through him through a book shelf breaking the book shelf and then I did a number on him before the teacher intervened. Long story short I got suspended.

At my school we loved to fight. We had a game at lunch their was a set of about 5 tires, going from smallest to largest. The five toughest guys in the school would go onto the tubes in order. Then one by one kids would challenge you. So you'd fight the kid on tube one, if you knocked him off the tube you'd take his place , take out the next guy and move from tube to tube. I was usually around Tube 3, anyways a kid came up and tried to get me off my tube, I punched him in the head and he fell off the tube but he hit the wooden barrier (Holding in the gravel) he split his head open and an ambulance had to be called. My friends and I covered each other and shared the blame, the Principle understood it was a game and all five of us got 2-weeks in school suspension.

The next major fight I got into was in grade 8. I told a good friend of mine that I was going to ask out a girl at lunch. At recess the kid comes up to me and tells me to stay away from his girl, he said he asked her out right after I told him I was going too. Long story short I picked up a desk and smashed it over him. I had several more fights with this guy he liked to pick fights. In the end I got warned if I beat him up one more time I'd be expelled. So I stopped fighting with him.

The last fight I was in was an ambush. I was in highschool and my foster brother was buying drugs from a group of guys. I told him that he shouldn't be buying weed and that our foster mom would be super pissed. Without warning one of the guys started wailing on me, he had a fist full of rings, my foster brother and a friend intervened dragging me away, I was going to try and take him on but their was like 5-7 of them and I would have been beat down so bad.

In the end I was very violent in school , well not so much in highschool but in elementary and middle school I was. I haven't been in a fight in years though. I'm an adult now and as such deal with things with more restraint!

Are you saying that your dog protected you, or that your dog wears jeans?

Hey we were kindergarteners up against grade 3-7! We considered ourselves the babies. So yah we called our gang the baby land gang. Though by reality standards we were just a group of kids beating up bullies not so much a real gang (No drugs or alchohol) or shit.

Considering you were between the ages of 3 and 7 I should hope not. Just can't help giggling at the thought of getting threatened by the Baby Land gang.

Yah well the gang pretty much consisted of the entire Kindergarten class. Though we really didn't do all that much damage but like six or seven of us would pile drive a grade 3er. But yes looking back I wouldn't feel to threatened by a group of five year olds. But the gang kept going till grade 3 then we fell apart. The idea was strength in numbers.
