I was one of the youngest among the group of kids in my neighborhood. 4 of the kids were particurlarly bad. 2 twins, 1 year older than me, a guy that was 4 years older, and a guy who was 8 years older. I was usually outnumbered 2 to 1 (either the twins, or the other 2 guys) since they liked to pick on me because I didn't back down like the other kids. I never won any of those fights (the 2v1s), but once I was 10 or so, I stopped losing too.
I could actually take on the twins and the guy who was 4 years older 1v1 when I was maybe 7 or 8? But the other guy, I mean come on, it's pathetic to seriously fight someone 8 years younger than you, but he'd also sic his dog on me (I was scared of dogs for years because of this). The other 3 were too scared to fight me alone though. Very rarely did I get into a fight with just 1 of them, it usually happened because as we got older, some of the other kids finally grew a pair and would at least distract 1 of them while I fought the other.
I didn't get into a serious fight until I was 13 though, and it was with my best friend. He was stronger than me, and we'd gotten into play-fights before, but nothing serious. One day, it was serious, I can't remember why, but it got bad fast. It ended with me knocking him out and him going to the hospital for a concussion. I walked away with barely a scratch or bruise. After that, no one in the neighborhood fought with me ever again. And anyone that heard about that fight also didn't try to take me on.
I only got into one more fight after that, and I was 14 or 15, and a freshman in high school. I was in 'advanced math' (if you don't know, I got to skip a year's worth of math classes because my test scores were very good), and there was a senior football player who was in my Geometry class. This guy was HUGE, at least compared to me back then when I was maybe 5'3'' and barely 120lbs if even. He was over 6' and probably about 230-250 lbs. Huge guy. Again, don't remember why, but we got into a little scuffle in the hallway after a class, and I was actually winning-ish. It was more a shoving match, and I kept pushing him off balance (maybe my height actually helped me displace the center of his weight better). We didn't really get to finish since I pushed him into a locker that subsequently slammed shut on this girl's finger (this girl who I knew well, was in my class and band with me).
I haven't been in a serious fight since, but I have sparred a few times with people who practice martial arts. I haven't for a few years though, so if I did now, I have no idea what would happen.
