Forums - Gaming - Best Selling New IP of 2011?

Hard choice between Rage, Bulletstorm, and especially L.A. Noire.

And then there could be a 3DS title or Wii title that becomes an unexpected hit (I don't search for non-Nintendo Wii/DS titles, I just look at what's available and buy it if it looks good).

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Around the Network

LA Noire

Bulletstorm, though Rage and Homefront have a shot as well.

LA Noire really stands no chance once people find out what the game really is.

Probably a game with Wii in the title that is not yet announced...

Rage and The last guardian

Around the Network

Some crazy mobile game like Angry birds... iPhone version more than 12 million times downloaded.. 7 million of them are the full version.. and they earn 1 million dollar in per month in revenue from the advertising that appears in the free Android version.. thats serious money..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

1. Rage

2. LA Noire

I dunno. If Rockstar can sell over a million copies of a table tennis game between teh Wii and 360 anything is possible...

la noire looks like its going to have heavy rain type gameplay.  game looks interesting, but id rather watch boston legal.

considering so many games this year are coming out were you have choices and a great story la noire doesnt have a unique element, other then its detective aspect.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

Depending just how good Bulletstorm and Rage are, they could manage 7 million between PS3, 360 and PC versions....If they can just do 3 million on the 360 and 2 million on the PS3 and PC then they are set.

bullet storm wont reach 3 million on 360, and definatly wont reach 1 million on pc.

rage has a chance of doing big but it all depends on the quality of the game.

unless all the kids stop playing cod and get their christmas gifts early, bullet storm isnt going to be the best selling ip this year.

But still....Rockstar can put their name on a tennis game and it will sell. I see it outselling Heavy Rain easily between two platforms.

yes but i dont think it will reach 3-4 million sales.

one of the reasons red dead sold so well is because it had fun gameplay, great new features, a very good mp, and an interesting setting, as well as the rockstar name.

la noire lacks a great mp, and its gameplay will be either bland combat mixed with great detective skills, or heavy rain gameplay. also its not going to be called "the gta in the west"

it will sell well, but wont be as the same level as red dead. which wont guarente best selling ip 2011.
