Yup, FW sales of Tri in Japan were above 700k, so I don't know where he's getting these figures from...

700k is worldwide.  It's still incredibly unlikely that TLS will even come close to Tri's Japanese first week.

I never said it would. Even a third of Tri's sales FW would be great, and FW Tri sales equalling LT TLS sales in Japan would be excellent...

Also, Tri's FW in JP is 561k

Actually, no, that's pretty reasopnable. Though I hope Immortal's case is closer to the accurate, yours is more likely

Still, 250k for a new IP in Japan is great! Should be enough to see a localisation!!!

Well, today is the day which counts! Now is the day when the Japanese gets their hands on this great game (lucky so and so...), let's just hope the masses take to it, like they should!

Whatever it is, it won't be enough.

Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey were near masterpieces, and greatly under-performed compared to the quality put in.

However, if pre-orders are ~65k with 1 week left of pre-orders to go, I would imagine first week will be around 110-120k....Certainly low given that Blue Dragon did ~83k on an almost non-existent user base.
