Both Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty 4 have broken the 1 million barrier on the PS3 this week, becoming the first and second (or second and first?) third party games to do so on the PS3. Most likely, Pro Evolution Soccer will be joining them fairly soon.

Should I be happy or sad because it took so long time? It shows that good games sell. Please no more cheap ports *cough* Orange box.

It's quite odd really. Sony releases a series of high profile and critically well recieved games, only to have the big sales go to Multiplat games.

just goes to show, decent games sell well on the PS3. I think the next games to do it will be PES 2008 and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

No Fifa 08 love? It will sell million before PES 08.

No it won't, FIFA 08 is selling just above PES 08 in Europe but because of Japan PES 08 will get there first.

I would say Fifa is likely, but I'm not entirely convinced it WILL yet. Consider the following:

1) There are two more weeks of holiday sales, with Fifa selling 60-75k per week
2) Yearly franchises like Fifa drop off EXTREMELY hard after the holidays

It's entirely possible the game will not sell more than 150k after the holidays, ever again. Just remember that Fifa 09 is less than 9 months away at that point.  

FIFA 08', Uncharted, need for Speed Prostreet, and Ratchet will get there in time aswell... Im doubtfull about heavenly sword. But I think that game is actually bundled here in EU so there's a chance.

Im eager to see how UT3 performs in the US before I make a judgement on that one.

however 2 secured millionsellers next year are MGS4 & GTAIV.

also I would like to say Gamespot's review of FIFA 08 AND PES 08 were completely f@^*ing sh(t.

FIFA 08 - 8.5 (WTF, better then uncharted, just as good as mass effect, just as good as Lair more like!)

PES 08 - 6.0. WTF, this is the worst review ever created by man. PES 08 has minor faults such as framerates but this review is total shit. Gamespot are just a bunch of f@^*ing FIFA Fanboy freaks!
