3G would not be sufficient for playing games or downloading games, except for really small games without good graphics.

The reason it's free on the kindle is because monochrome books use insignificant bandwith to download.

LOL at the people claiming PSP2>3DS sales wise. Nintendo hasn't lost the handheld generation thus far and I don't think it will anytime soon. Even with the PSP, Nintendo broke records selling more than the Gameboy.

Then again, I'm not doubting Nintendo, but PS3 was meant to be unbeatable....

sound good and all but as many say thr pricing worries me, I will spend no more than $300 if I plan to get it at launch, if not i'll will be waiting for a price cut.

I'm guessing yours will be a common issue with the PSP2 if SCE starts with an initial MSRP of over $300.

While I know nothing about your buying habits or purchasing power, I just don't see how big the demand could be for a next gen portable gaming device priced that high, regardless of how sexy (with the OLED display, media functions, etc.), when you can buy an iPod Touch or an iPhone 4 with the same or better functionality (barring the PSP2 games of course) for less.

If it's "just for the games" then again, it doesn't need to be priced that high unless manufacturing costs are much higher than reasonable estimates would suggest.

Not only will I be surprised if it's priced over $300, but I definitely won't be buying one unless it has some sort of unheard of feature yet to be mentioned anywhere that for whatever strange reason I feel compelled to pay that much.

If that was free 3G network access to include a decent (read: usable) web browser that allowed browser based e-mail... I'd probably pay as much as $400 for one. But I'm pretty sure that won't happen.

what do you mean? we know it has 512MB RAM, an OLED touch screen, a rear multi-touch pad, 2 analog nubs, and ether a Nvidia  tegra 2 or PowerVR SGX543 based graphics chip with at least 2 GPU cores but more likely 4 (the iPhone 5 will have a duel GPU core design) with the powerVR chip being far more likely as Nvidia have not been able to get Tegra yields high enough and power consumption low enough. Also Devs have reported it can output "PS3 level graphics" and is a "really powerful machine" also Dev kits have been overheating and had to placed in larger cases with better cooling.

We know plenty about the still unannounced PSP2. Just because you haven't been following the rumours doesn't mean we don't know tones about it...

and no none of the things you have said has been confirmed...we have seen many articles giving various specs about the psp2, from the design, to the media it will use to the processor and ram...

This article is the only 'solid' news we have had on the product for ages since the devs saying it's a powerful product, but if I remember correctly, devs have never said it can put out ps3 level graphics..they never said anything about the overheating or anything of the sort, that was also a rumor mainly brought forth by engadget

heck most of the stuff you said are rumors too, hence the few 'or's in your post, we knew plenty for certain about ps3 slim/psp Go this close to the reveal

so no, there are plenty of rumors, but no one is certain about the final product/design yet, some of the rumors might be true (if this OLED news is true then some rumors that claimed no touch on the front screen has been proven wrong already) but just because you jump to conclusions doesn't mean everyone else will either

In the unlikly event (lol) that the psp2 costs around the same as the 3DS we may actually have a very close battle between the 2.
