Forums - Gaming - Crysis 2 vs RAGE

John Goodman (RAGE) vs. the ARS from Vanquish (Crysis 2)... that's a tough call. Both are so awesome.

Rage looks amazing. But I can remember hearing that it wouldn't be open world because of a certain consoles disk space requirements. (No trolling intended)

RAGE. Maybe I will be looking for Crysis 2, but seems a bit generic for me.

I am one who don't care for both games from what I have seen, but if I had to chose I would say Rage, at least the setting looks more interesting

Rage for me, it looks better and seems more interesting than yet another alien killing shooter.

As far as the graphics are concerned Rage should reign supreme. Crytek is good at making superb graphics on powerful specs- while ID is great at getting amazing quality out of dated tech. Since their both being developed with consoles in mind Rage should win handily.

As far as gameplay is concerned I have much more faith in ID.

Time for hype

I am getting both, so I don't particularly care for any comparisons. Both offer varied gameplay, and both look gorgeous. This year alone is a calender of games that look like gems............... KZ3, GOW3, RAGE, Crysis2, Bulletstorm, LA NOIRE, to name a few..........

Wait, just to clarify the developers are calling rage an openworld game similair to fallout why are saying its an FPS. You develop your character as Stealth, Social, or Aggressive etc. It has all RPG elements.

Anyways I saw a frist preview on  this on G4's x-play. Made my mouth water. This is what fallout should be. I one 5 second vid there were like 10 monsters coming at you at once which as far as i recall fallout never handled well.

I personally am really syked for rage where as with Crysis I can only dream of playin that on my friends PC.

Honestly, do JRPG makers even realize how hard it is to save the world? That shit is impossible!

I suspect RAGE will be the better game, or at least better received by reviewers than crysis 2. RAGE was looking very polished at E3 2010, and it still has several months of development to go.

Though graphically I prefer crysis 2. I don't like post-apocalyptic settings such as fallout 3, and RAGE. Plus I look the shiny graphics of crysis 2, and the nice blend of trees in a city environment.

Both should do well both in reviews and sales.

I'm not sure about that statement. Back in the day, you needed quite a powerhouse to run Doom 3 in comparison to, let's say, Half-Life 2, game that didn't deliver superior graphics on the technical department, but they had a better execution, which in turn gave us more realistic graphics.

In any case, I'm probably more interested on RAGE. What can I say? Post-apocalyptic worlds have something on them that I love.
