March 22 is going to be an insane day, not only are we getting the oft-delayed Crisis2 but Conduit 2 is there, US is getting that new Dissidia and PS3 is getting another HD collection with Tomb Raider.
On the side you have the hotly debated and anticipated sequel to one of PCs most acclaimed shooters of the past decade, made by FPS masters Crytek. On the other side you have a sequel to a game that got good coverage was hyped got decent reviews but sold poorly and are developed by (IMHO) a dev team that have still yet to prove themselves, but by all accounts it looks like they are putting more effort into this one(motion+) confirms this.
Now it would be unfair to pit an exclusive against a multiplat, sure one could argue that the combined HD install is about the same as the Wii, but that would be ignoring the PC crowd and lets be real here half the people who own Wii dont care about FPSs anyway, they want there WiiSports and Fit. So to keep things fair and interesting I wonder will Conduit be able to outsell Crysis on at least ONE platform??? Im leading toward no, but I could be wrong. Maybe Wii only owners will give this game more of a chance. maybe multi plat owners will choose Conduit over Crysis, HD owners might just be sick of FPS, maybe they wont buy either and just pick up there PSPs to play Dissidia instead. (which is only retailing for $30 by the way) who knows
