Not to put words in Nova's mouth, but I think he meant the sales were going to get better, so his comment is on topic if that's the case.

While the first DKC sold over 9 mil, no game in the series since has made it over 6 mil.  Unless DKCR is heavily bundled, I would imagine that it will fall somewhere in the 6-8 mil range.  Even without heavy bundling, GT5 should make it to 7-8 mil, but we all know it will be bundled for the holidays.  I would imagine the PS3 is going to drop to $249 later this year, so maybe a $299 GT5 bundle with a larger HDD.  In the end, it should push past 10 mil.  If Nintendo does do some bundling this holiday it will be a close race, but I think in the end GT5 will win out.

Considering there is already a GT5 PS3 bundle avaialble Europe and Japan (even one in the US on Amazon), it doesn't really make this a far race.  DKCR isn't bundled anywhere.

The real battle is between Mario Kart Wii and GT5. Hows that going?

There's a GT5 bundle in EU? That'll make it even harder for DK then.

Also, unless Wii starts selling sub-50k, Nintendo won't do DK bundles

Am sure DKCR will be bundled at some stage, whether as part of a Donkey kong 30 year anniversary or in the holidays. Don't know if it will be bundled as extensively as GT5 but am sure there won't be too much in it.

Hard to figure. GT5 has a shoot to be the first 10 mill seller for PS3. About DK, is selling better than I expected. Could pass 10 mill also if Nintendo continue the marketing or bundle the game.
