A first review of Mario Sports Mix on a French web-media :

Probably a little classic but with 4 games in 1 and a lot of fun it looks like a good choice to take pleasure with friends...

I won't buy it simply because Square put all of those non-Nintendo characters into it. Honestly a Mario sports game should just have Mario characters like every other Mario game. To me its blatent advertising for Square and Nintendo should have never let it go forward. I'm guessing Nintendo hopes by letting Square put all of its characters in the game that it will incourage Square to make future titles availible on Nintendo platforms. But I think selling out Mario like that is just dispicable.

Maybe Nintendo whoring out Mario to SE so they would hurry up with DQX.

I downloaded it today and played for a little bit.... i didn't see any non-Nintendo branded characters? or do yu have to unlock them? just curious...

@Joecool7  i think your taking it way too seriously, those are just unlockable characters, its not like its Cloud, or Kefka, or Jecht or some other bastard thats been in there forever. As for whoring out Mario, I think we are way beyond the point of that, Mario has had his mug in just about every genre of gaming now. The Mario live action movie??? Now that was whoring, besides if Ninty didnt want Square characters in their game, they shoulda developed it themselves. 

OT I gonna pass because this is not a substitute for what i really want and that is a Mario Golf and or Tennis game and Mvs.C3 is around the corner and Capcom 2d fighters > Mario sports spinoffs. THats just how I feel no one flame me. I might pick it up when the price drops

Game Informer gave it a 45, but we know how much their reviews are worth

If this were made by Next Level Games, i'd get it, but i'm not too keen on this division of Square Enix

@Mr. Khan thats not fair, just because they gave GE a 6.5 doesnt mean they have something against Wii. There are about 30 something odd reviewers on GI, you cant expect not one of them to be a bit biased against one system or the other. and you cant hold the entire staff responsible for one guy. THey gave DKCreturns a game of the month but no one remembers that, dont act like they give Wii games all crap reviews.  This whole "whatever magazine/site hates my beloved Wii" is a little juvenile and sad.

ONM did their review quite a few weeks ago...
