To little to late, i no-longer use my Atari 2600 so i won't be getting Duke Nukem Forever.

Duke Nuken was made obsolete with the advent of Quake. The character of Duke Nukem was made with the introduction of Master Chief.

The entire game is irrelevant and is probably going to suck horribly or at best, be a mediocre game.

I bought DN3D AFTER having played Quake ][ twice. Despite the cruder graphics, I preferred the Duke.

And despite the bigger immediate success of Quake I and ][, now Quake is a thing of the past also for its former fans, while Duke Nukem still's got a lot of fans waiting for his return from teh Land of teh Vapours.

Oh, I get what you mean, and yes, I don't like that look either, in that case, both more old style and more advanced than that would be better.
