...i think u need glasses or something :P if you reduce the sales from america and europe then MHP3 is almost past the highest selling one in its first 7 weeks.

Yes, but it was, given this week's numbers, ridiculously frontloaded. It may be nearly there in no time, but it's not going to pass it by much, or at least as much as previous MH titles have their predecessors, at all.

if we compare just the main story games 1 2 and 3 then the new one is about 1.5 million ahead ^^

Yeah i know my spelling sucks but im dysgraphic so live with it :3

Will be around 400k behind after 10 weeks but after that it all depends on what level it will stabilise and how long will both of them stay without successor

O_O u meen its not totaly impossible that MHP3 can actually beet a main series pokemon game in japan O: Im gona be tracking these 2 every week now xD

xD. You kidding? MHP3 is below this week slightly, is behind 400k so far, is falling faster and doesn't have the holiday effect that sent BW to extraordinary levels just after the first ten weeks ended. At this rate, it ain't even gonna hit 4.5m! It's doing extraordinarily, that much is clear, but don't get the wrong idea.

Not gonna hit 4,5M ? LoL ?

It only need one year of sales at the average of 10k per week  to get 4,5M.

We don't really know what effect the PSP shortage is having on its legs.  7 weeks after 2G, the PSP was selling ~82k.

Also 2G sold about 500k just last year, and you think MHP3 won't even do that much more lifetime?  When it hasn't even received a budget release that accounted for ~1.7 million of 2G's sales.

I don't see why the PSP shortages should have any major effect on this game at all - games with massive first weeks only tend to attract new audiences early on and later sell to the base.
I disregarded the budget release though. I didn't realize that there was one - that could make sales increase substantially.

I'd say MHP3 is the only impressive thing this week in Jp...
