I'd be happy if Uncharted was above all those FPS'

the only guy making sense around here is the guy above me ^^

I don't agree with that list at all but I don't feel like getting in an arguement. Also Go ahead and add PS3 next to UT3 and Orange Box in brackets.

Although SMG is #1 which i don't agree with i'm glad to see only 2 Wii games since IMO they only have like 2 good games. I am shocked Wii sports, Wii Fit, Wii whatever isn't on the list.

ya galaxy got number one but the others were messed up.

No Wii software except SMG and MP3. Despite the #1 this is still disappointing for Nintendo.

if #5 and #16 where switched around I would agree with it 100% but overall good list.

Honestly its getting rather annoying to read the comments to every list. The thoughts posted are rarely illuminating. The same nonsense every time the people that only own a Wii think that Mario is the second coming of Christ, and to not have him on the alter at one is some sort of crime against humanity.

Super Mario Galaxy may be the greatest platformer to come around in years, but its still a platformer. That means it suffers from the same weaknesses all platformers suffer from. Chief among those is replay. Most players will play through a platformer once, and the more intense might play their way through a second time. However the magic is short lived, and can never be recaptured.

Basically all you need to kick Mario out of the top spots is a reviewer that places a higher value on replay. Such a reviewer will give greater kudos to a Halo 3, Orange Box, or a Mass Effect. All games that could end up tipping a players time commitment into realms of hundreds of hours over the lifetime. Where a Mario will struggle to capture thirty hours.

Kind of tired of every list being about Mario. He makes the list high good for him if no well the reviewer isn't a fan what you going to do. There are legitimate reasons for Mario and against Mario. Hardly a case of Mario doing everything perfectly on all fronts. Just as the Halo 3 single player mode was hardly epic, or the tragedy of Bioshock not having a multiplayer mode even though the game begs for one.

@dodece.   i agree to your thoughts i n general. but the replay-value of mass effect equals zero. sorry, but after beeting the game once - with A LOT of talking - i don´t want to hear the same lame answers again. cause they (NPCs) tell you the same. regardless what your are telling them.

I must disagree with your take on platformers. Part of what makes platformers great is their replay value. Not only are games like that perfect for multiple playthroughs, but they're the kind of game where you can spend tons of replay time just running around and goofing off in the levels.

My response has nothing to do with Galaxy, but is merely a response based on platformers in general.

For the missing PS3 games and Wii Fit, they weren't available then. If the PS3 version wasn't finished and tested, it obviously can't be on the list.
