I download movies straight to the PS3, must have got a good hundred off there. Its a damn good site id be lost without it now. I pirate music also. But not games.

yep, Movies, Anime, and Music, but the majority anime and movies I download I end up buying unless they are completely horrible. Music, I just say F the RIAA and I'll go see the people in concert if I have the cash when they are around.

 

Games, once in a while. Typically worthless stardock ones that I know will suck and i dont want to use Impulse.

Viewing his profile. He is from Argentina, a poor country with low income. it probably cost him 800$ to buy a ps3. Games are probably 100$ and never ever get a discount. He wouldn't game if there was no piracy. That's how I see it if he is anything like me.

Some PC software and an enormous amount of Metal songs (most of those you can hardly buy legitimately anyway)... the PC games I downloaded I either bought or deleted.

Well I'm sure everyone' pirated music so that's 1.

I've only ever pirated BioShock and Fallout 3 both on PC.

Movie wise a few here and there but that was years ago. Back when movies was my primary source of entertainment but now it's games so if I ever need to watch a movie and's coming out, I'll go to the cinemas to watch.

I own a PSP but not a single game for it.

I do buy my share of games for PS3 and Steam sometimes.

WTF? Your fist post is utter crap, see what i did there?

Even though I do own legit copies of all my N64, Gamecube, Wii, PS3, GBA and DS, I won't judge his position. I mean, if its not because of the fact that I can import games from the US with relative ease, I probably would be in the Sony side right now as most people with modded consoles.

With the currency exchange games do cost 100USD, but relatively speaking the real cost of games is about 150-180 USD. Same with hardware. Not only that, the library is limited, and the support is null, why do I have to put a fake US address in order to play online on the PSN.

I get your point, but I do not agree with the sports car example. Gaming should not be a luxury.
