From what I've read, it lasts close to 8 hours with 3D/wireless off and brightnes on medium settings. I wouldn't be using 3D anyway, but I'd probably have wireless on. Either way, it'd be close enough to what the DS offered that it wouldn't matter.
Arg. I don't like 3D. It's something I'll never use, and it's the reason the system costs almost twice what the DS did at launch.
