Nintendo has the lamest manufacturing... Sony was easily able to manufacture enough PS3s for everyone that wants one.

Well Nintendo just has a manufacturing contract with one company right now. Once they get more, the shipping will increace.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Over under for when Wii shortages end?

Japan: March 2008

Americas: Briefly end in late August until October 2007...begin anew until March 2008

Europe/Others: No end until March-May 2008. However, this is as a region, I'm sure Wii is already available in some countries..

shortages ending predictions... (we should make this a prediction leagues thing lol)

Japan: September 07'... they have a huge summer of Wii games, but a semi-slow fall beginning. It'll be available for a while, sell out again during holidays.

USA: never ever ever. It might be available to the point where people will get lucky and find one every now and then, but most of the time it'll be as hard to find as it is now...

EU: July 07'... just a guess...
