I dunno if they made money on MOM honestly.  That CG looked EXPENSIVE.  Of course, if Team Ninja could make bank on games that sold around a million or less (DOA4, Xtreme 2, Ninja Gaiden II, Sigma, II Sigma), then MOM's probably going to be in the green too.
