Forums - Sales - Nintendo Wii.... Gaming System, or Cockroach attracting device?

http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2007/12/14/wii_attracts_cockroaches/

"The theory can be traced back to Japanese-language gaming website Barks, which claimed that the Wii gives off a cockroach-friendly frequency that attracts the pests better than four-week-old pizza."

Has anyone here with a Wii noticed new pets in their homes?

My pokemon brings all the nerds to the yard. And they're like, "You wanna trade cards?" Damn right, I wanna trade cards. I'll trade this, but not my charizard.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

yes. and they are called Hot Latina, Gorgeous Blonde and Cute Japanese. After all, there is fun to be had with up to four players on WiiSports. Makes us all go sweaty and stuff. Lucky me I have a shower at home as well.

Mine must not work. Insects are common site in the country and yet there seems to be less this year than others in recent memory.

OOOOO I gotta good one about this
True Story!

I used to work at Babbage's... when there was a Babbage's...
And it was right when they started that Trade in program for games and systems for store credit.

Back then we had to check the systems on the spot to make sure they worked.

Some lady brings in a PS1 and a busted out PS1 controller.
She wants a store credit for her trade in so she can buy some Magic cards.

I go in our small coffin like backroom and am hooking up her PS1 to the small TV... I open the lid, and literally 5 roaches are sitting in there.
(Not fully grown yet... but big enough to scare the hel out of me)

I slam the lid shut and manage to keep them in there, and I stuff the system in a cardboard box and seal it with packing tape.

I tell the lady about her "problem"... she yells at me and leaves.

In hindsight. I should of taken the system and scared my manager at the time.
That woulda been sweet.

Apparently electronic devices as a whole provide a great nesting ground for the little buggers. They can survive anywhere.

Predictions For Last Full Week of Sales in 2010)

WII - 80.35 Million

360 - 43.88 Million

PS3 - 41.40 Million

More terrible predictions coming Jan. 2011!!!

We used to see bug-infested computers all the time at Geek Squad. Store policy is to immediately wrap it in a plastic bag and seal it, and give it back to the customer. You don't want the buggers getting in your store and infesting all your product.

Sorry about that. I didn't realize that it had been posted before. Either way, I just got a giggle out of that with the cockroaches. :) I doubt there is much truth in it, except for those who already have a infested home.
