Have they even released a single above average game this generation?
KOF XII was really insulting money grab imho.

No. Metal Slug 7 and KOFXII were generally shat upon by their fanbases, and the only other notable thing I can think of is that embarrassing witch fondling adventure game for DS and that crappy XBLA/PSP mascot shmup. :/
SNK died with the NeoGeo imo. Probably before then honestly. Most of the talent from their glory days are at other companies today anyway (Capcom, Arc System Works, DIMPs, AQ interactive, Engines Co., etc)

I know what you mean about pissing of fanbases. I had a goal of getting every big fighter game that was released in this generation but I made first exception in it for KOF XII :)

I've always quite liked Metal Slug, but that series and SNK in general have been going downhill for a while now

I wasn't aware they actually did anything besides rereleasing their awesome old games.

It's really too bad, I heard a lot of good stuff about XI. It seemed like SNKP was heading the right direction, but then XII was stupidly content light with broken netcode, and any goodwill they'd built up went out the window.
Metal Slug's been pretty much shit for years now though. God, I'd give up my first born to get another one as good as MS3. :(
