New information is suggesting that Sony has teamed-up with indie developer Giant Sparrow in an ambitious first-person painting title for the PS3. According to a job resume and a job posting by Giant Sparrow, the two pieces of evidence seem to point to just one possibility; Giant Sparrow is developing The Unfinished Swan for the PS3.

Posted on the Giant Sparrow site, details are as follows on the title: “The Unfinished Swan is a first-person painting game set in an entirely white world. Players can splatter paint to help them find their way through an unusual garden. The game is still in development and no release plans have been announced.”

On the job resume: “3D Design and Animation Giant Sparrow/Sony Computer Entertainment, Santa Monica, CA Oct - Nov 2010. Generate concept art, 3d animations in Maya, and models for Gamebryo game engine/ PlayStation 3.”

Currently, according to Giant Sparrow’s games listing page, The Unfinished Swan is the only title they are working on at the moment. So, if the job resume posting is correct, that would indicate The Unfinished Swan is on its way to the PS3, though no announcement or solid information has been released stating so. @Boutros: Agreed, looks like a PSN title, at least from the concept video. Who knows tho how the end product will be like. Eitherway if this is true it's a day one purchase from me

Much rather see it implemented as a section of a bigger game, otherwise a whole game like this just feels like a one-trick pony. Unless it's more of a short experience, hence the mention of PSN. But concepts like these are indeed interesting, just like Portal was.

Anyways it will be done in LBP2 :P
