Think about it. If PSP2 doesn't come with 3D screen, it will be lacking a feature that basically the most important thing for the next-gen.
It just cannot afford to not join the 3D *fad*, IMO.

You should have made a just plain "No" option, because I don't think the PSP2 will have 3D but not because its just a fad...just because I think Sony would have announced it by now if it was 3D and everything. Or it would at least have been leaked.
Sony is already one step ahead and has developed an special "3D-less" Screen!
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
- George Orwell, ‘1984’
IMO, Sony cannot afford to go 3D-less.
They'd be losing out on all the 3D games that may come out.
If the rumour of the backside touch panel are correct then Sony probably intends to add support for the technology at a later date. I give it a couple of years but im sure the PSP2 2000 has a good chance of having a 3D screen.
Tease.
Well it would seem rather odd for one of the big promoters of 3D not to have 3D in its latest entertainment device. The ability to watch movies (if not games) on PSP2 in 3D would seem to be a no-brainer, and no one wants to be seen dead out in public wearing 3D glasses.
The only thing likely to be holding them back is:
I rather hope that if they don't have glasses-less 3D at launch it is because of 1 not 2, and like Sqill says it will be in there in the first PSP2 re-design. But I fear the reason will be 2. Long term backing 3D with glasses is a losing strategy, because the end game is glasses-less 3D, for TVs and other small screens at least. Probably for the movie theatre glasses will always be needed, or at least will always be needed while the image is being projected from behind the audience down onto a screen.

I am pretty sure all the manufacturers are abandoning the glasses 3D.
Expect the 40'' or higher glasses 3D to be the next big push by retailers for 2011 holidays.
well i dont think it will come with 3D and i also dont think 3D is a fad so... i cant click any of your poll options
I don't think PSP2 could have an affordable price if tried to include PS3 level technology, good battery life, and glassless 3D technology. Seriously, the price would be well over $300-400.
Most anticipated games of 2011:
Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith
Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D
3D won't be a FAD and Sony won't include it (now?) on the PSP2, before the 3DS presentation at E3, Sony stated that their glassless 3D technology is not accurate... Or they have made good improvements these last month on it.
But we must first concentrate ourselves on the way to entertain people, for video games to live. Else, it's a world where sales representative will win, which has as effect to kill creativity. I want to say to the creators all around the world:"Courage, Dare!". Shigeru Miyamoto.
