I hope it's a 2D Metroid. I wouldn't mind a Prime sequel. But I expect Hunters 2.

I really hope it's not a sequel to Hunters, I was not a big fan on Hunters.

It never got into it really, I borrowed it from a friend and returned it to him early.

Guys I wouldn't take the Metroid comment seriously. The guy was probubly just getting the readers excited. Notice his comment didn't specifically confirm anything. Also take note that it says the fan was happy there will be a suprise and Ross responded "I think you'll be pleased then" he may have not been talking about Metroid at all or he might have just been riling the fan up.

Keep in mind while Ross is hosting the event he is not an actual Nintendo employee. In the past IGN has dropped similiar hints and so has GameTrailers but many of these hints turned out to be false. I remember hints of Pikmin3 at E3 2010 among other games hinted over the years like when IGN commented to a fan that StarFox might be shown last year.

There is little weight to such hints, one in every what ten actually come true. Though I am pretty excited that their will be a suprise at the show. I think Ross is right I will be pleased.

Thank you for posting this, I have seen many games in similar situations that were eventually announced. Hold on is that on DSi? :(
