Leather actually makes sense as a material for a superhero costume when you think about the shit they go through.

Plus 3 points for seeing the big picture haha. (Why can't I use the plus sign? o_o)

and the movie isn't for 2011 sadly.

Costume looks like the Mystiqe one form the X Men movies. This is a joke. The gloves look like he is a Motocrosser.  Being a HUGE Spider Man fan I am a Pissedasaurus Rex when it comes to this costume. WTF, No red belt line and little webbing in the suit. Give me a break.

Think about all that being a superhero entails for a second. He's a skinny teenager jumping and webslinging through New York while being shot at, caught up in fires, high speed car chases, and clashes with super villains. Is spandex really going to stay in one piece as he gets hammered through brick walls? :)

NO. Thats why the original costume looks fantastic when it gets torn. Look at the artwork in the comics. It looks awesome when it gets torn when he is in a highe tense fight against someone. That visual keeps you reading to see what happens next. This indestructable thig just ruins it for me. Like you said, Hes a teenager. How in the hell does he get the money for a suit like that?

he looks HOT!

hang on a series reboot?

Does this mean that the movies will continue forward or they going to remake the movies again with this duche who will probably quit after three movies too and be back and square one again lol.

If you read the comics you should know he starts off doing stuff for TV/wrestling, but this seems to be more Ultimate Spider-Man. He'll probably blow his savings or sell his computer or something for his first suit until he gets his job at the Bugle. Plain and simple you can't actually fight crime in spandex in real life because you would practically need a suit a day. It's not like leather is an invincible material however for a poor student it makes sense that he'd want something durable instead of cheap in the long run.

That costume looks horrible, that guy is no Peter Parker, and this movie is going to bomb.  You heard it here first.  I'm sure they'll get the support of girls who like pretty boys, but that will pale in comparison to the avid Spider-man fans they would have gotten.

Yea I did read the comics. If the leather suit still rips he still has to fix it or get a new one. Now that expensive suit is broken and in need for a new one. You said it. Its not invincible.  If it going to be like Ultimate he didnt wear leather. The point im trying to get across here is that it doesnt look as good as the original. As a spider man fan I'm mad. If they wanted to spice things up they should of went with the Ben Reily Spider Man suit. Now thats a Spider Man suit.

You're correct.  But that's why the first 3 movies didn't use spandex.  They used a much more durable material that was basically like combining a wetsuit and a rubber Batman suit.
