Mario Kart Wii is fast on track to outsell all games not on the Wii. Pokemon Blue/Red at 31.37 could be overtaken by the end of the year. The only question is whether it will top Super Mario Bros at 40.24 million. It's definitely not out of the question.
There's also the question of whether Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports Resort or New Super Mario Bros. Wii will sell the most. It looks like New Super Mario Bros Wii will finish last of those, but I'm not sure about WSR vs MKWii. After all, WSR only sold 21% more than Mario Kart Wii last week, despite having been out for a bit over half the time.
I'd say Mario Kart Wii seems slightly more likely to outsell Wii Sports Resort than vice versa.
So yes, Mario Kart Wii is making 30 million, and that's unreal. It's also going to become one of the top 3 best selling games of all time, possibly the best selling. That's ... double unreal?
