Forums - Sony - Does anybody actually own a 20gb PS3

I was just wondering because most people say they have either a 40 or 60 by the sound of it.

Good question, i'd like to know too [i'd be suprised if more than 2 on this whole forum do]

I would guess from the 5.5 million produced before March number Sony gave, and the ratio of early sales that there may be fewer than 500k of them in the Americas [certainly

I do, but it's currently sitting at 200GB, the reason I bought the 20GB model. That and I didn't need card readers or WiFi.

It seems the mods need help with this forum.  I have zero tolerance for trolling, platform criticism (Rule 4), and poster bad-mouthing (Rule 3.4) and you will be reported.

I want one. It's sad they stopped making them. I'll likely try and ebay/gamestop one before i buy an 80 gig.

If they get rid of the 80 gig and all that's left is the 40 i'll see which i can ebay in order of 20,60 and 80. I mean, wireless interent is worthless compared to cable... and if i need a bigger harddrive (doubtfull) i can just get one installed.

I agree with Kasz, Wired internet is the way to go. Anytime i went online with my wireless, it would randomly kick me off because i lost connection. I hated it but now i have wired and i couldn't be happier!

There is always the possibility that ebay sellers can lie and say its the 60GB PS3 but really it could be the 80GB or 40GB put in a 60GB box

Why on earth would an ebay seller say it's a 60 gig PS3, and then pull a fast one and put the superior 80 gig model in instead?  That makes no sense.

Just because it has a bigger harddrive doesn't make it superior. and I bet some jerks would do it just to mess with other people

The 80Gb model uses software emulation to play PS2 games which doesn't always work whereas the 60Gb model has the Emotion Engine chip which practically guarantees PS2 games will work.

I don't believe the extra 20Gb is a fair trade off myself...

I do. I am upgrading to 160GB HDD in a few weeks though.
