If you can’t make it down, no worries, we’ll be LIVE streaming our World Record Event online right here on the PlayStation.Blog. Stay tuned for our unprecedented schedule of LittleBigPlanet 2 goodness hosted by Veronica Belmont from Qore and our own Jeff Rubenstein. Check in and watch the live action, interviews from anyone and everyone who loves Sackboy, and behind-the-scenes access with Media Molecule, plus tons more. You can even help us decide on which games to play next or tweet in your questions to anyone at the event. Whether it’s watching our fans staying up playing LBP2 into the wee hours of the night, checking out the Subway lunch break, or enjoying the back and forth banter of our LIVE event, we promise a good time. This record setting event also commemorates the release of the Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer’s Edition, the latest chronicle of video gaming history. LittleBigPlanet looms large in this year’s edition of the book with the game’s main character lovable, stitched-together main character, Sackboy, gracing the book’s cover and a bevy of facts and records cited within its pages. Known as the “Video Game Bible,” the fourth and latest edition of the popular series comes packed with 90% new or updated records and 750 never-before-seen amazing images appealing to everyone from hard-core gaming veterans to first time gamers and families. The Guinness World Records 2011 Gamer’s Edition will be available on January 20th for $14.99.

Some records are extremely weird as it is, the game ones seem not to be of any exception. I don't really like Guiness Book of records, but kudos to LBP2 for scoring some records, even though they seem to be.. Kinda useless to me.

The awesome game related record I've seen was some 7 year old professional gamer, which was just plain weird lol.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Sooooo world records created for LBP / LBP2 to get some world records. Lame.

Yeah. Well. Wait for LBP3 to steal it.

Should be a nice even to folow for fans.

    But 2 things

    on Guiness recognized records....

  • Longest marathon playing LittleBigPlanet 2
  • Great.... i just invented a game, and i'm the only one who played it, I guess I should call guiness to have many records.

I lost all interest in Guiness records a while ago when they started having stupid stuff as records.... things that are not even world records, just best recorded.... that's also when they stopped giving out a prize for world records, in essence recognizing themselves the worthlessness of their titles...

    on LBP2 recognized records:

Most player-created levels in one video game

I find that hard to believe... heck i'd say LBP1 has LBP2 beaten for now.... (without mentioning doom or ther PC games...)

    OoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoOoO

    isn't that 6 World Records?

6: Most World Records in one attempt

And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
