So I'm playiong the demo of the psn game "Faery: Legends of Avalon" and it looks stupid and doesn't "feel right..." but the more I play it, the more into it I'm getting. The combat is actually quite solid especially for those moaning about the lack of good turn based RPGs, to add that little something extra, the game's first boss is a "giant enemy crab", it's almost fate!

I have a giant enemy crab and the shampoo isn't working.

Also, there's is a "mass effect style" conversation tree going on here, even though it's a bit more obvious than other renditions of the feature, (I made one of the characters fall in love with me by the end of the demo.)

But is it realistic like the ones they fought in ancient Japan?

Sadly no, but they can hit for massive damage if you hit their weak point.
