Forums - Microsoft - Remedy's Next Game Is Not An Alan Wake Sequel

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2011/01/11/remedy-s-next-game-is-not-an-alan-wake-sequel.aspx

If you're like me and you've been holding your breath for Remedy to announce a sequel to last year's horror thriller, Alan Wake, this is not the story you've been waiting for. It seems that the next project to come from the European studio will be an iOS revival of their first game, Death Rally.

Despite becoming famous for the narrative-heavy gunplay of the first two Max Payne games and Alan Wake, Remedy started as a developer by releasing car combat game Death Rally for the PC way back in 1996. The new version will be coming "exclusively" to iPhone and iPad in March.

Fingers crossed that this is just a small project to help build some funds while they work on thatother franchise.

Around the Network

I loved alan wake, and i cant wait for a sequel but i think remedy is in financial trouble right now.

alan wake was in development for almost 6 years i think, and it only did about 450k at full price. At the stores close to me its selling for 25$ new.

Remedy will probably have to do a few things like this(reboots on other systems etc) to keep the studio above water before returning to one of their beloved franchises .

i was looking forward to a sequel of alan wake, but they are in trouble alan wake was one of those games thats was genuinly good title but didnt do to well at retail same with mod nation racers i guess studios like remedy and united front should go multiplat it would be best for ps360 owners
