Forums - Gaming Discussion - Killzone WILL NOT be released in September 07.

Killzone, made by Dutch development team Guerilla studios will not be released in September 07 says Threespeech, a semi-official Sony blog.

Where are the Sony killer apps for 07...

The release date on ThreeSpeech for Killzone PS3 is a mistake. We haven't made any announcements for a date yet, as it's still TBC.

Hey there, I've been hearing a lot of the phrase "killer app" being thrown around lately, and I was wondering what a killer app meant to you. I was always under the impression that is was a title for any computer-type-thing( but generally consoles) that both sold extremely well and showed off the power or functionality of its respective console, like say Halo 2 for Xbox or possibly Resident Evil 4 for Gamecube.

I was about to unleash another tired rant about the list of great games coming for the PS3, but I might be misinterpreting what your'se saying as being that Killzone 2 is the only good game we've got coming this entire year. You are fortunate!

I also think ThreeSpeech despite having some good interviews from time to time is generally kind of useless for release dates.

lol

all of thsoe dates were BS.

the fact you belived then to be true is a joke.

All those games cant come out the same time like Lair is probably coming out in July. We have not seen anything ingame on Killzone and its coming out this September? :D

And please stop trolling.

Another gut punch to Sony.

*Sony vomits uncontrollably*

Ok, Once agian. Killzone has no dates out. Sony knows when it's coming. Gurilla knows when it's coming. No-one else knows when it's coming. Killzone is probibally one of the most secretive games in history. It is expected to come out around Halo3. Probibally earlier. But once agian. This is all unknown. This is a stupid thread stating a rumor was debunked.

I just thought of something funny, and it fits this thead.

Kwaad said at VGChartz.com that "Killzone PS3 is due for a july release!"

Sony added in a press release that "Kwaad knows nothing of killzone and could never know the release date."

The Wii fanboys go "Sony is gonna loose!"

They would actually release it next to Halo 3?  If Sony did that they would either have more balls or less brains than I thought.  In all reality though it doesn't matter.  I don't see what the fascination with the game is, given its sales next to no one played it last time and it'll be the same this time.  When you brand a game "Halo killer" it's lost before it ever hits the stores.

If they are planning to release it right next to halo I think we will kow that they are crazy.

They should release it in Feburary

I'm a owner of both killzone games out now. The original Killzone, was too much... for the PS2 to handle, and they basically tryed to cram it all in, deal with the lack of power, and ended up makeing a great game, that looks sub-par, and had some problems with the controls.

I dont think sony would invest 30million in a game, they didnt expect to sell well. (given the cost of development, it has 200+ people working on it, much of it out-soucred. Given a 10 million/year budget. (the PS3 games were started around the start of 2005) I would be willing to bet Killzone PS3 will have over a 30million$ budget. Also, the staff working on it is still growing as of this day. I cant post a link, as it is on a beta forum regarding another game... but once the final patch is done for that said game, the staff from that said game is moving to to start work on killzone PS3. So add another 20-30 people there.

Killzone PS3 will probibally end up being one of the highest budget games of all time, and quite possibly, the highest budget game of all time. (to date)

If sony expected it to fail like the original... Why would they be investing so much into it?
And I didnt say next to halo, I said before halo. Not same week, but same quarter.
