for single country Sony can know the numbers just like Sony knows their Sold to Customer in America through NPD. i think France is also covered by GfK .?? isnt it? so i m sure Sony getting the numbers by being the premium subscriber..

VGC had PS3 at 6,714,611 in last quarter... so the shipped number by Sony will be over 8M.

unless of course there was lots of stock left over in the system from the previous quarter.....

That's a possibility... but I guess not.

Lol @ Sony being so wrong.They should visit VGChartz for the real numbers ,no ideea from where they're getting this data,probably out from their ass.

Everyone knows VGChartz can't make a mistake...

These numbers are from GFK, and PS3 also sold more software units then even Wii.

I don't get how the post helps the topic in any way, I don't think there was a post where someone called out on Sony's report as BS in the posts before yours, au contraire people said that PS3 is likely overtracked by VGC, seeing as the numbers on VGC appear to be bigger than the ones reported, so it would be common sense as they're both sold through number that VGC overtracked. I'd understand your post if Sony said they sold 1M, VGC had it at 900k and people were proclaiming that 1M was shipped and not sold through..

Your post =/= sense, or I missed something before.
