I know someone who had it done when he was 14, possibly the worst time considering what's going on with the hormones at that age.   We went to a Cubs game about a week after his operation, the temp was 102F.  I can't imagine how miserable that was.

Very glad that I'm not. Unless the reason for having that part removed is medical I see no reason for it. Doing it to your child for religious reasons is the very height of presumption. You don't know if you're child will be your religion. Let them when they can make the deicision have it done.

There are many cases of appendicitis in the world. Is this mean we need to cut every baby so when he/she grow up we can say that we saved him/her form  inflamed appendix? As far as I know there is no one who die, cos he was not circumcised. It is the other way, check this links:

OT: Yes, I am. It's actually pretty uncommon over here in Romania (and in most of Europe). I wasn't circumcised since bitrh. I remember having a foreskin once (pulling it back when I'd take a bath was a nightmaire). I was circumcised when I had my hernia opperation when I was 5 or 6 (sort fo a 2-for-one deal). I think it was done either for a medical problem (phymosis) or for "hygenic" reasons.

I've never really thought much of being cut, though when guys in high school thought it was weird that I was. I wonder what it would be like to still have a foreskin though.
