Forums - Sony - Xperia Play (psp phone) video released playing games.

source and original source

The gaming-centric Xperia Play, from Sony Ericsson, can’t seem to keep a low profile. In this latest leak, we are privy to a video of the Android device running a PlayStation emulator and showcasing several gaming titles — including Biohazard 2 and Rage Racer. While we don’t find out anything really new about the handset, it is nice to see the Play doing what it was designed to do, game. Hit the jump to check out the aforementioned video.

huh... I didn't see any other news on vgc about this and I figured many of you would be intrigued by a video of the psp phone in action. Guess not.

id rather see a game that used the analogs just to see how well they work and i hope you can change the settings so you can use the full screen

Is there any footage of PSP games being played?

Also, can PS1 games be emulated on any Android device powerful enough?

People are not impressed by the specs and I know it's not really powerful compared to other phones but this one has d-pad and Buttons!

This is an emulator that is not released by sony, it's for android devices. I doubt Sony will release games that won't utilize the full screen.

Unlike the newly revealed xperia arc, It's really bulky. I hope this bluckiness and the somehow "outdated" specs guarantee a long battery life.

Just announce it Sony, the cat is out the bag.

Anyway, the reason not to get too excited about this is it still does not tell us what this device actually does. Is it really just a PSP go phone, with an extra analogue touch area thing.... or are we finally going to get a PSP 2 with dual analogue

OR, most likely this is not going to be a PSP Phone, but simply an Android phone with some PlayStation branding

it's not called Xperia Play, it's Xperia Zeus Z1
